John McCain thinks the economy is "fundamentally sound." Of course it is. It's the people who are having problems, not "the economy."
And, let's face it: some sectors of the economy are doing just great. Big oil, for one; credit card companies; real estate speculators who are buying up foreclosed homes for ten cents on the dollar; payday loan companies are having a field day; and, let's not forget collection agencies.
Unfortunately, if McCain is elected we can look forward to more of the same . . . as well as the emergence of what I call "debt slavery".
